Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta is the root teacher of the modern Thai Forest tradition. From his lineage flow Ajahn Sao, Ajahn Lee, Ajahn Maha Boowa, Ajahn Chah, Ajahn Tate, and the entire Kammatthāna network. He is considered by his tradition to have attained the full liberation of arahantship — the principal modern Theravada claim of complete realisation.
