Swami Vivekananda was the chief disciple of Ramakrishna and the principal force behind the introduction of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world. His address at the 1893 Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago introduced Hinduism to America with the words "Sisters and Brothers of America." He founded the Ramakrishna Mission, which continues to combine spiritual teaching with humanitarian service worldwide.
