Roshi Pat Enkyo O'Hara is the founder and abbot of the Village Zendo in New York City and a senior teacher in the White Plum lineage descending from Maezumi Roshi through Bernie Glassman. A pioneering teacher in LGBTQ Buddhist communities and in HIV/AIDS chaplaincy, she is widely respected as a voice of socially-engaged Zen.
