Master Chin Kung

Master Chin Kung was a globally influential Pure Land teacher who founded the Amitabha Buddhist Society network and the Pure Land Learning College. His teaching is doctrinally syncretic (incorporating Confucian and Daoist material) in ways contested by orthodox Pure Land circles, and his organisations have been designated by the PRC as xie jiao (heretical sect) since 2011. He has also been the subject of credible reports of homophobic content. The Promised Studios curates only doctrinally orthodox Pure Land material from him with explicit framing.
