Lama Surya Das is one of the first Western lamas in the Tibetan tradition, recognised by Nyoshul Khenpo Rinpoche, and was for many years a popular Western teacher of Dzogchen. His record carries 2019–20 admissions of misconduct addressed in published apologies.
