Mindrolling Jetsün Khandro Rinpoche is one of the very few female Tibetan lineage holders teaching internationally today. The eldest daughter of Mindrolling Trichen Rinpoche, she was recognised as the reincarnation of the great Khandro Urgyen Tsomo, the Great Dakini of Tsurphu and consort of the 15th Karmapa.
She holds full transmissions in both Nyingma and Kagyü lineages and trained under HH Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, HH Mindrolling Trichen, and HH the 16th Karmapa. She established the Samten Tse Retreat Centre in Mussoorie and Lotus Garden in Virginia, where she leads the Rigzöd Institute. She is widely regarded as one of the most penetrating contemporary Vajrayana teachers, with a particular gift for direct, no-nonsense lojong instruction grounded in rigorous lineage authority.
