Kabir Helminski is a translator, writer, and shaikh in the Mevlevi Sufi tradition. With his wife Camille he directs the Threshold Society, offering Sufi practice, retreats, and translations of Rumi. His versions of Rumi's poetry are among the most widely read in English, and his teaching emphasizes the universality of the heart and the integration of Sufi practice with contemporary life.
