Haemin Sunim is a Princeton- and Harvard-trained Korean Seon monk and best-selling author whose accessible writing on mindfulness in everyday life has reached millions of readers globally. He has been the subject of a public 2020–21 controversy in Korea regarding the disjuncture between his austere monastic public image and his actual lifestyle; the matter was addressed transparently and his teaching has continued.
