Cynthia Bourgeault

Cynthia Bourgeault is an Episcopal priest, retreat leader, and one of the principal voices of the contemporary Christian Wisdom tradition. A student of both Thomas Keating and Bruno Barnhart, she has developed Centering Prayer, the Wisdom Jesus, and the kenotic-trinitarian theology of Beatrice Bruteau into a substantial contemplative pedagogy. She is a frequent dialogue partner with Buddhist teachers and a natural ally for The Promised Studios' inter-religious framing.
